One of the biggest and most underrated blessings in this life is to witness members of your community grow alive and be well, but even more satisfying to see musicians of the same community get sharper and sharper with their technique. Baltimore Rapper Mylez Danielz is such a blessed example who flexed disgustingly and lyrically for his ‘What’s My Age Again?’ EP.

Since knowing him for years, interviewing him multiple times, and seeing him find his sound, Mylez Danielz seasoned execution is a needed project to hear from the Baltimore rapper, fresh even a month after its release by time of this published review.

Here is a press release from his team regarding the birthday release:

“No Threat” opens up the project with a great sample, as the “Let me help you understand” is a subtle message to fans, new listeners and haters that Mylez Danielz is indeed back on his bully, but better equipped. Danielz attacks the instrumental to set off a hot tone for the EP.

The end of “No Threat” seamlessly flows into “Tele”, the star song of the EP. If the meticulously delivered hook meshed with the beat didn’t already do the job, the butter smooth flow kept this track on replay. I can’t tell you how many times I replayed “I had a dream about making 2k, then I woke up, getting to the paper” thinking about how much the beat slapped in perfect accordance.

“One Hit” dually serves as a statement and anchor to the project. Describing himself as “The Black Ben 10” in a lyrical showcase that exemplifies honed development of his unique sound, Mylez Danielz talks about how he just needs one hit with any one of his shots in the game in order to take off as he deserves.

There’s much to celebrate about the Baltimore MC: not just the music, not just the skill, but a celebration of life as he moves into a new year of conquering flows and opps.

You can stream the project on both Spotify and Apple Music, and follow Danielz on Twitter @MylezDanielz and Instagram @ mylez_danielz .
